Entertaining and inspirational, but not for the fainthearted!
The All-in-One Applications College Application Crash Course is basically a college admissions think-tank that requires serious engagement on all parts. In this 5-day intensive workshop, we bring experienced, creative admissions counselors and editors together with motivated students to create truly memorable, grabbing applications.
The course is offered in two modules:
in order to meet the specific demands of each online application. Students may opt to do one or both of the modules, depending upon their admissions goals.
We know that parents are practically as important in this process as students, so we want to make sure you know how to support your kids. That’s why, with each Crash Course, we also include a parent workshop to answer any parent questions and explain exactly what we’re doing in class. We also want to remain in contact with our students and their families, so expect follow-up emails and phone calls from us! And, if you require additional assistance with any extra essays, internship applications, or college planning, we can happily arrange special consultation packages for you. Skype has made it possible for us to work with anyone, anywhere, anytime!
The Common Application Crash Course:
- Costs and Payment Information
The Common Application needs to be fabulous. It goes out to colleges that really read essays for interesting and convincing content. However, because of the simplicity of the Common Application, those colleges are receiving far more applications today than ever before. If you want to stand out from the pack, your written application components must be outstanding.
Your English teacher’s five-paragraph essay simply won’t cut it.
In this course, we review student college lists and help them make crucial decisions about Early Decision and Early Action. We also assess student transcripts, test scores, and résumés to provide realistic appraisals of acceptance potential. (Yes, we’re brutally honest, but we’re also incredibly supportive and positive.)
During the course, we will create:
- • A uniquely clever and perfectly edited Common Application essay, which will be reviewed by at least three editors.
- • A comprehensive but concise student résumé that highlights student involvement and achievement.
- • A 150-word essay detailing an extracurricular activity.
- • Individual Why? Essays for all selected schools.
- • Thank-you letters for writers of letters of recommendation.
- • Completed versions of the Common Application.

The ApplyTexas Crash Course
- Costs and Payment Information
Because we work mainly with Texas kids, we have created this course especially to help kids who want to apply to the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M. Those schools require multiple essays and a lengthy online application, which differs significantly from the Common Application. Both of these colleges place tremendous emphasis on class rank and have limited time to evaluate each application; therefore, while the written components must be excellent, all three essays do not have to possess the same Wow! factor as the single Common Application essay.
In this course, we evaluate students’ transcripts, test scores, and selected colleges within UT and A&M to determine their chances of acceptance, occasionally suggesting other paths of entry.
During the course, we will create:
- • Three admissions essays, adhering to the specific Texas application prompts
- • A comprehensive but concise student résumé that highlights student involvement and achievement.
- • Thank-you letters for writers of letters of recommendation.
- • Completed versions of the Texas Common Application
Course Details:

- • 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio

A Combination of the Two
Many of our students have some Common App schools and some ApplyTexas schools, so they have to do both applications and both sets of essays. However, there is some significant overlap, and students who need both courses obviously should receive a discount! So, let’s talk about it.
- • Students who are using both applications can enroll in both classes for a total of $4795, for a savings of 20% on the total cost.
- • Students should plan to work for two consecutive weeks because it’s more effective to keep them in motion than to give them time to vegetate.
